Treading the boards from an early age with the Napier Operatic Society, Aaron went on to perform with the Auckland Theatre Company, Wellington’s Circa Theatre and The Court Theatre in Christchurch, as well as numerous theatres throughout New Zealand.
Now a veteran of stage and screen, Aaron’s credits include appearances in New Zealand’s longest-running primetime soap opera Shortland St, Australian true-crime drama Underbelly, award-winning comedy drama Nothing Trivial and US superhero action series Power Rangers. Aaron also recently featured in Lee Tamahori’s compelling Mahana, which premiered at Cannes earlier this year.
Aaron’s deep sense of altruism has seen him travel extensively in war and disaster zones as ‘Elvo the Clown’, bringing happiness and respite to those suffering hardship and trauma. For his generosity and selflessness, Aaron was awarded the New Zealand Special Service Medal by Her Majesty the Queen. He continues this charitable work at Starship Hospital, entertaining children and their families as the ‘Clown Doctor’.
Following more than a decade as Master of Ceremonies with the SkyCity Entertainment Group, Aaron is now one of New Zealand’s most sought-after MCs, hosting all manner of events and showcases, from awards nights, gala dinners and conferences, to restaurant and bar openings, icebreakers and quiz nights.
